Deputies find baggie containing pills on accused shoplifter

 

 

Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Kyle Gray along with Deputy Tommy Houston arrested  a Corbin resident on Friday evening March 6, 2015 at approximately 6:10 P.M..

Arrested was Sheila Brock age 26 of Foley Road, Corbin, KY.

The arrest occurred at Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County after Walmart's loss prevention team detained this subject. When deputies arrived and conducted an investigation they learned that this subject had allegedly been observed concealing store merchandise on her person- value more than $103.

In addition, this subject appeared to be intoxicated and deputies conducted an investigation determining that she was under the influence.

Deputies located a clear baggie in her possession containing several prescription pills.

Sheila Brock was charged with theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting; public intoxication – controlled substances; and prescription controlled substances not in proper container – first offense.

In addition, this subject had an outstanding bench warrant from Knox County for failure to appear in court on numerous traffic violations.

Sheila Brock was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
