Erratic driving complaint leads to arrest and drug charges

 

 

 

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy John Inman arrested a Keavy Road resident on Monday morning March 9, 2015 at approximately 10:20 A.M..

Arrested was Rebekah Ann Harris age 36 of Keavy Road, London, KY.

The arrest occurred off Ky 552, approximately 8 miles south London after Deputy Inman was dispatched to a complaint that a female subject driving a white colored Chevrolet trailblazer was driving in an erratic manner and had apparently pulled into a business parking lot off Ky 552.

When Deputy Inman arrived at the scene he located the subject stopped in her vehicle near the exit of business parking lot and conducted an investigation on the driver determining that she was under the influence.

In addition, Deputy Inman located a bent needle with a clear liquid believed to be methamphetamine in the subject's possession. Deputy Inman also found other prescription pills in the vehicle not in a proper container. The driver had a crushed blue substance he had located in a chapstick cap near the gear shift that was identified by the driver as Roxycodone.

Rebekah Ann Harris was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – second offense; possession of a controlled substance first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine; prescription controlled substances not in proper container – first offense; and possession of a controlled substance.

Rebekah Ann Harris was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
