Attempted murder arrests - Laurel County, KY

Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Detective Josh Scott has arrested 2 individuals allegedly involved in a shooting which occurred on March 2, 2015 at approximately 8:09 PM off Hazel Patch Road approximately 9 miles north of London at the residence of Pamela Newcomb.

Also a third involved person has been arrested late Thursday afternoon.

Allegedly, two individuals traveled to the victim's residence and while inside the victim's residence an altercation occurred and shots were fired by one of these two individuals. In that shooting, the home owner – Pamela Newcomb age 47 of Hazel Patch Road, East Bernstadt received a severe gunshot wound to the stomach. At least one of the accused (Eddie Eversole) was shot also.

Arrested on Wednesday afternoon March 11, 2015 at approximately 12:07 P.M. on West Carter Rd. in London was Eddie Eversole age 28 of Public Road, Somerset, KY - Charged with attempted murder and robbery first-degree and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

Arrested on Wednesday night March 11, 2015 at approx. 11:26 P.M. on Byrley Road in southern Laurel County was Kaleb McKiddy age 24 of Byrley Road, Corbin, KY - Charged with: attempted murder and robbery first-degree and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

Arrested on Thursday afternoon March 12, 2015 at 3:12 P.M. off Byrley Road, Corbin was Kyle Wilson age 20 of Byrley Road, Corbin, KY -  Charged with Attempted murder, tampering with Physical evidence, and giving an officer a false name. -Subject allegedly possessed a handgun used in the home invasion. Robbery was the apparent motive for the attack.

Assisting on the arrests was Laurel County Sheriff's Detective Jason Back and U.S. Marshal Todd Hansford. Also assisting was: Major Rodney Van Zant.

The red Honda Civic used by the accused the night of the robbery was impounded off Byrley Road and is pictured at the Laurel Sheriff's Office.
