Second arrest in 2 days on same person

Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Larry Parrott and Deputy Rick Cloyd arrested a London resident on Thursday night March 19, 2015 at approximately 8 P.M. (This was her 2nd arrest in 2 straight days).

Arrested was Jyll Burgett age 34 of Disney Drive, London, KY.

The arrest occurred off Disney drive approximately 7 miles south of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of a female subject allegedly drunk and fighting with her husband – there was an active DVO against the female subject stating that the female subject was not to be there and not to commit any acts of violence.

When deputies arrived at the scene they determined that this subject was in violation of the active DVO and was determined to be under the influence. In addition deputies noted in their report that this subject had been arrested the day before after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of a female subject allegedly under the influence and causing a disturbance.

While en route to the location, deputies were further advised that deputies had responded to this location twice earlier in the day regarding a similar complaint.

When deputies arrived at the scene and located this subject at the edge of the roadway they detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from this subject. An investigation determined that she was under the influence. Deputy Tyler Morris along with Sgt. Brett Reeves arrested Jyll Burgett on 3 -18-15 at approx 11:45 P.M. charging her with alcohol intoxication in a public place and lodged her in the Laurel County detention Center.

Deputy Parrott noted that his investigation determined that this subject allegedly--- when released from the Laurel County Detention Center from her charges the day before, went straight to buy Vodka, got drunk, and went back to the residence knowing she was not supposed to be there.

Jyll Burgett was charged with: violation of the Kentucky EPO/DVO; assault – 4th degree – domestic violence; and alcohol intoxication was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center a second time in two days.
