Assault 4th degree arrest - Laurel County

 

 

Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Larry Parrott along with Sgt. Robbie Grimes arrested Gary Wright age 30 of J Chestnut Lane., Corbin on Wednesday evening March 25, 2015 at approximately 6:49 P.M.

The arrest occurred off J Chestnut Lane, approximately 11 miles south of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint that this subject had kicked a female subject that was pregnant in the back.

This complaint was the second complaint at this residence – deputies earlier in the day had responded to a similar complaint and had not been unable to locate this subject.

When Deputy Parrott and Sgt. Grimes arrived at the scene, this subject was observed standing by a parked car in the driveway there. As deputies exited their police cruisers, this subject fled on foot and was chased until deputies lost sight of him.

Through further investigation deputies were able to locate the subject hiding under a mobile home and convinced this subject to come out from under the trailer.

While being placed under arrest this subject began cursing and creating a disturbance where women and small children were present. Deputies determined that this subject was intoxicated – he admitted to drinking about 18 beers throughout the day.

Gary Wright was charged with assault – fourth degree; fleeing or evading police – second-degree – on foot: alcohol intoxication third offense and disorderly conduct – second-degree.

Gary Wright was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
