Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Kevin Berry along with Deputy John Inman arrested James Day age 29 of South Laurel Rd., London on Tuesday afternoon April 7, 2015 at approximately 1:50 P.M..
The arrest occurred off Auger Springs Road, approximately 10 miles southwest of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint that a male subject had driven a loaded dump truck through a neighbor's yard getting it stuck in a yard earlier.
In addition, it was now reported that this same subject was sitting in the neighbor's yard in a maroon colored Ford Explorer slumped over the steering wheel.
When deputies arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation they determined that this subject was under the influence.
James Day was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense; careless driving; failure of owner to maintain record insurance – first offense; reckless driving; unauthorized use of a motor vehicle – first offense; and other traffic violations.
James Day was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
