Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Capt. Chuck Johnson along with Deputy Gilbert Acciardo visited Girl Scout Troop #7108 on Monday evening April 13, 2015 at Sublimity Elementary School to conduct a general safety program for the 12 girls in attendance.
Deputies spoke with the girls about seat belt safety, gun safety, dangerous strangers, drug education, use of 911 and community helpers.
A short question and answer session followed the program.
Sheriff Root provides deputies to conduct safety programs regularly for the youth of Laurel County stressing that our young people are the future of our County.
