Stabbing in Laurel County - Man airlifted to UK Med center

 

Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Detective Charlie Loomis along with Deputy Andrew Lawson and Sgt. Brett Reeves arrested Justin Chambers age 54 of Johnson Addition, London early Friday morning April 17, 2015 at approximately 4:10 A.M.

The arrest occurred after deputies responded to a fight in progress complaint off Walnut road, approximately 6 miles south of London at a residence there.

When deputies arrived at the scene they observed a male victim lying on the ground with an apparent stab wound. Deputies learned through investigation from the victim that allegedly Justin Chambers came to the victim's home with the intent to fight.

Both subjects there were involved in an altercation, with both the victim, and suspect receiving injuries. The victim identified as Noel McQueen had a stab wound to the shoulder and cuts on a hand, and was flown by helicopter to UK Med center for treatment of his injuries.

The suspect Justin Chambers was transported by private car prior to deputies arrival at the scene to Kentucky One Hospital in London for treatment and later transferred to UK Med center.

Laurel Sheriff's Bailiff Travis Napier guarded the arrested individual (Justin Chambers), while he received treatment of a laceration to the hand. Assisting deputies at the scene were: for KSP – Trooper Chris Saunders, Trooper Mike King, and Trooper Brandon Creekmore. For KSP/CVE-Officer Rob Mitchell.

Also assisting on the investigation was London City Police – Sgt. Jesse Williams, Patrolman William Jones, and Patrolman Jeremy Shell. Investigation is continuing by Detective Charlie Loomis. Justin Chambers is lodged in the Laurel County Detention Facility.
