Shoplifting and warrant arrest - Laurel County, KY

 

 

Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Larry Parrott arrested Tammy Lewis age 39 of Locust Grove Rd., London on Monday evening April 27, 2015 at approximately 6:28 P.M.

The arrest occurred at Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County after Walmart's loss prevention team detained this subject.

When Deputy Parrott arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation he learned that this subject had allegedly been observed concealing candy into a Walmart bag, traveling to the jewelry section concealing a watch into the Walmart bag and then traveling to the apparel section and concealing a pair of pants in the Walmart bag and attempted to leave the store without paying for the merchandise valued at $25.80.

In addition, Deputy Parrott learned that this subject was wanted on a Laurel County warrant of arrest charging criminal trespass – first-degree and criminal mischief – third-degree – allegedly this subject was evicted from an apartment in London and allegedly came back to the apartment and kicked in the door and went inside – the amount of the damage was approximately $500.

Tammy Lewis was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
