Manchester man & woman facing Manufacturing Methamphetamine charge in London, KY

London, Ky. - LPD is reporting that on Friday night around 11:00 P.M. officers of the London Police Department received a complaint of a shoplifter attempting to leave Walmart.

Upon arrival, officers conducted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle while it was attempting to leave the parking lot.

At that time, Walmart loss prevention associates identified a male subject as the shoplifter.

Officers located stolen items of merchandise inside the vehicle and returned them to the store.

Officers noticed a back pack lying in the rear passenger floorboard.

When the female driver of the vehicle was asked if more merchandise was in the bag, she stated to officers she did not know what was inside the bag.

After gaining consent to search the backpack, Sgt Wilkerson located what appeared to be an active one step meth lab along with several ingredients to manufacture methamphetamine.

Vincent King age 47 and Angela King age 49 of Manchester, KY were taken into custody and removed to the Laurel County Correction Center and were charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine.

Vincent King was also charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking U/500 Shoplifting and Public Intoxication.
