Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that thanks to the posting of a picture on the sheriff's facebook page about information on an abandoned utility trailer, and local media running the news story, the owner has been located.
The owner of the trailer, a resident of Knox County, reported it as stolen to Knox County Sheriff's Office approx. 3 weeks ago.
Laurel County Sheriff's Deputies recovered a zero turn mower stolen from Somerset on April 19th.
It was returned to its lawful owner.
A utility trailer also recovered that had its serial number removed, was also identified by its owner.
Deputy Josh Scott has developed some leads on the case, and continues to investigate.
