KSP, Richmond Post, Activity for April 2015

(Richmond, KY) -- The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post is reporting the following activity for the month of April, 2015.

Troopers and Detectives issued a total of 2,231 citations, which included 152 for speeding, 13 for no child restraint and 181 for no seatbelts. There were 45 people arrested for driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. Troopers issued 402 courtesy notices, assisted 55 stranded motorists, and investigated 58 traffic collisions while inspecting 1,993 vehicles. Detectives and Troopers also responded to and investigated 1,225 complaints, opened 595criminal cases, and made 356 criminal arrests.
