Commercial Vehicle Crash - UPS (United Parcel Services Inc.) jailed in Laurel County, KY

 

 

 

(London, KY) - On Thursday May 7th 2015 around 2:00 PM officer Brandon Durham with KSP-Vehicle Enforcement responded to an injury accident located on I-75 Southbound near the 34 mile marker in Laurel County Kentucky.

Upon arrival and though investigation officers found the 45 year old James A. Buhl of Knoxville Tennessee was operating a 2000 Mack Tractor Trailer belonging to UPS (United Parcel Services Inc.) when he lost control leaving the roadway striking a small embankment.

Buhl was arrested and transported from the scene to St. Joseph Hospital by ambulance for minor injuries. Drugs are not a suspected factor, however alcohol is believed to be a direct factor in the crash.

Assisted on scene: Vehicle Enforcement Officers Sgt. Mike Taylor and Officer Randy Rader, Laurel Co. Fire Department, and Ambulance Inc. Officer Brandon Durham continues the investigation.
