Bell and Knox County Drug Round-Up

(Pineville, Ky.) Today law enforcement officers in Bell and Knox Counties are seeking 26 individuals for drug trafficking. The arrests expected to be made today, bring the total number of people charged by detectives from Post 10 Harlan with selling drugs, to more than 100 in less than a year. This number shows the severity of the drug problem in Eastern Ky but also illustrates the commitment of KSP to continue to fight the drug problem in our communities. KSP was assisted today be Bell County Sheriff’s Department, Pineville Police Department, Cumberland River Drug Task Force, KSP Desi East, and Middlesboro Police Department. The following individuals were arrested and lodged in the Bell County Detention Center.

Merlin Nickels, 51, of Mt. Sterling, charged with two counts of trafficking controlled substance 1st degree and three counts of trafficking controlled substance 3rd degree.

Alex Turner, 21, of Pineville, charged with two counts of trafficking controlled substance 2nd degree and one count of trafficking controlled substance 1st degree.

Anthony Cloud, 54, of Pineville, charged with two counts of trafficking controlled substance 2nd degree and one count of trafficking controlled substance 1st degree.

Johnny Howard, 58, of Pineville, charged with two counts of trafficking controlled substance 2nd degree.

John Winebrenner, 50, of Arjay, charged with five counts of trafficking controlled substance 1st degree and one count of trafficking controlles substance 2nd degree.

Mary Cloud, 53 of Pineville, charged with trafficking 1000 yards of a school.

Jerome Fergerson, 38, of Pineville, charged with one count of trafficking controlled substance 2nd degree.

Edith Sanders, 35, of Pineville, charged with one count trafficking controlled substance 1st degree and 2nd degree.

Joey Philpot, 40, of Pineville, charged with one count of trafficking controlled substance 1st degree and two counts of trafficking controlled substance 2nd degree.

Jackie Messer, 58, of Arjay, charged with two counts of trafficking controlled substance 3rd degree.

Terry Miracle, 52 of Middlesboro, charged with two counts of trafficking controlled substance 1st degree.

Crit Callebs, 60, of Pineville, charged with six counts of trafficking controlled substance 1st degree, two counts of trafficking controlled substance 2nd degree, one count of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and one count of criminal possession of a forged instrument.

Jackie Cqueen, 31, of Arjay, charged with two counts of trafficking controlled substance 1st degree, one count of trafficking controlled substance 2nd degree, and one count of trafficking controlled substance 3rd degree.

George Frazier, 61, of Pineville, charged with two counts of trafficking controlled substance 2nd degree.

John Mcdaniel, 47, of Middlesboro, charged with two counts of trafficking controlled substance 1st degree.

Tasha Laws, 26, of Middlesboro, charged with one count of trafficking controlled substance 1st degree.

Vonetta Zachery, 41, of Middlesboro, charged with one count of trafficking controlled substance 2nd degree.

Travis Burchett, 24, of Middlesboro, charged with one count of trafficking controlled substance 2nd degree.

Brandon Partin, 31, of Middlesboro, charged with two counts of trafficking controlled substance 1st degree.

Jerry Adkins, 49, of Middlesboro, charges with one count of trafficking controlled substance 1st degree.

Gary Peck, 59, of Middlesboro, charged with one count of trafficking controlled substance 2nd degree.

Crystal Bennett, 39, of Flat lick, charged with three counts of trafficking controlled substance 1st degree and one count of trafficking controlled substance 2nd degree.

Amanda Cole, 25, of Middlesboro, charged with one count of trafficking controlled substance 2nd degree.

Jennifer Gray, 38, of Flat lick, charged with two counts of trafficking controlled substance 1st degree, and two counts of trafficking controlled substance 2nd degree.
