Elderly woman airlifted after robbery / assault in Laurel County, KY - Police asking public to help locate suspect(s)

Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Detective Kevin Berry is investigating a robbery which occurred on Friday night May 15, 2015 at approximately 8:30 P.M. at a residence on Old Union Church road, approximately 3 miles south of London.

Sgt. Robbie Grimes and Deputy Rick Cloyd were dispatched to a complaint that a female subject had been assaulted during an apparent robbery at a residence.

Upon arrival at the scene, deputies learned that an unknown number of suspects had allegedly forced entry to a residence there and had struck the female subject living there in the head with an unknown weapon causing serious injuries.

Apparently medication and money were stolen from the victim.

The victim was able to make it to a neighbor's house to call for help.

The victim is identified as Donna Davis age 61 Old Union Church Rd., London – transported by Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County to the London Corbin airport where she was airlifted by Air Evac to UK Hospital in Lexington for treatment.

Allegedly, a white pickup was observed parked in the driveway earlier and may be a possible suspect vehicle.
