ISP Drug Seizure and Arrest in Idaho Falls

Idaho Falls, Idaho - On May 27, 2015, at approximately 5:35 p.m., Idaho State Police responded to a report of a suspected DUI driver, and a request for a welfare check on a child in the suspect vehicle.

Officers located the 2005 Isuzu box truck described as the suspect vehicle and identified the occupants as Eric Joseph Freidman, 40, of Denver, CO.; Jon Nicholas Daw, 42, of Nampa, ID.; and a ten year old child.

The investigation by Idaho State Police and Idaho Falls Police Department resulted in the seizure of nearly 13 grams of heroin, 17 grams of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia, including numerous syringes that were either loaded or had been loaded with drugs. The majority of the drugs and paraphernalia were found in the cab of the truck where the child was located.

Friedman and Daw were both arrested for felony trafficking of heroin, felony possession of methamphetamine, and possession of paraphernalia.

In addition, Freidman was arrested for with driving under the influence of drugs and misdemeanor injury to a child; and Daw was arrested for a misdemeanor warrant out of Ada County Sheriff's Office and providing false information to a law enforcement officer.
