Manchester, Ky. - According to MPD, on Saturday, May 30, 2015 Manchester Police Officers responded to Walmart to investigate a possibly impaired female in the parking lot.
When officers arrived they located Debra Jackson, of Manchester leaned over her vehicle.
After speaking to Jackson it was determined she was under the influence of alcohol.
While making the arrest officers were notified by Walmart asset protection that Jackson had opened bags of candy and ate part of the contents while inside and left without paying.
MPD Sgt. Jeff Collett arrested Jackson and charged her with alcohol intoxication and theft by unlawful taking (shoplifting) and lodged her in the Clay County Detention Center.
Sgt Collett was assisted at the scene by MPD Lt. George Stewart.
