Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Sgt. Robbie Grimes along with Deputy Brandon Broughton arrested James E. Chadwell age 35 of East Campground Rd., London on Tuesday evening June 2, 2015 at approximately 6:30 P.M.
The arrest occurred off E. Pittsburgh Church Road, approximately 2 miles north of London after deputies were dispatched to a domestic violence complaint.
When deputies arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation they learned that this subject had allegedly choked a 16-year-old female juvenile and then assaulted the juvenile's mother who was trying to stop the assault.
This subject had fled the residence before deputies arrival but was located in woods behind the residence and arrested.
James E. Chadwell was charged with assault – fourth degree – domestic violence and assault fourth degree – child abuse and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
