UPDATE - Arrests Made In Murder Investigation / Rockcastle County

(LONDON, KY.) - On Tuesday, June 02, 2015 at approximately 11:16 PM Kentucky State Police Post 11, London was notified by the Rockcastle County Sheriff's Office of a deceased female inside of a residence on Red Hill Road in the Livingston community of Rockcastle County. The victim was discovered by a Deputy Sheriff who was conducting a welfare check on the home owner.

KSP Detectives arrived on the scene and discovered the victim, Mary A. Hinton, 86, of Livingston, KY deceased. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Rockcastle County Coroner's Office.

The cause of death was not determined at that time, but foul play was suspected. The victim's body was transported to the State Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.

UPDATE - Based upon further investigation, Detectives developed two suspects in this case.

Arrested was:

Kimberly D. Slusher, 35, of Mount Vernon, KY charged with Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Fleeing or Evading Police (on foot), Public Intoxication, Resisting Arrest and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Tabatha F. Howard, 30, of Mount Vernon, KY charged with Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Fleeing or Evading Police (on foot), Public Intoxication and Resisting Arrest.

Both suspects were lodged in the Rockcastle County Detention Center, the investigation is continuing.
