Laurel County, Ky.- Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Larry Parrott arrested Amy Epley age 36 of Highway 1809, Barbourville on Wednesday night June 3, 2015 at approximately 7:54 P'M.

The arrest occurred at Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County after Walmart's loss prevention team detained this subject.

When Deputy Parrott arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation, he learned that this subject had allegedly been observed taking makeup out of its package and concealing it in her purse. Then she traveled to jewelry and retrieved earrings, then traveled to the checkout register where apparently her card was declined so she then was observed taking the earrings and placing them in her purse and attempted to leave the store without paying for the items valued at more than $32.

Deputy Parrott found this subject in possession of numerous prescription drugs not in a container to include hydrocodone, percocet, morphine, Klonopin, flexerile, Xanax, and Nuerotin.
