(Pineville, Ky.) - On Friday June 5th 2015 around 9 A.M. Officer Toby Curry with KSP-Vehicle Enforcement responded to an injury accident located on KY 92 East 5 West of Pineville in Bell County Kentucky.
Upon arrival Curry determined that 43 year old Charles S. Brooks from Middlesboro Kentucky was operating a 2007 Peterbuilt tractor trailer when he lost control, overturning and coming to rest over an embankment.
Emergency crews had to physically extricate Brooks from the coal truck and he was later air lifted form the scene for medical treatment.
KY92 was shut down for several hours while clean-up crews worked to clean debris and coal from the roadway. Brooks condition was not known at release time.
Assisting on scene: Vehicle Enforcement Officer Jason Freeman, Bell Co Sheriff’s Department, Bell Co EMS and Bell Co Fire and Rescue. Officer Toby Curry continues the investigation.
