Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Sgt. Robbie Grimes along with Deputy Brandon Broughton arrested Sandra Thompson age 47 of Raccoon Creek Rd., London on Saturday afternoon June 6, 2015 at approximately 5:15 P.M.
The arrest occurred off Raccoon Creek Road approximately 8 miles east of London after deputies were dispatched to a domestic assault.
When deputies arrived at the scene they learned that this subject had gotten into a physical altercation with her mother leaving her mother with minor injuries.
In addition, this subject retrieved .22 caliber pistol, ran into the yard and fired the weapon twice . Other occupants at the residence were able to get the gun away from the subject without injury to anyone else and prior to deputies arrival at the scene.
Sandra Thompson was charged with assault – 4th degree – domestic violence; wanton endangerment – second degree; and menacing and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center. Photo attached is courtesy of the Laurel County Detention Center.
