Shoplifting / Outstanding Warrants - Laurel County

Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Sgt. Robbie Grimes arrested Timothy Lawson age 42 Mobley Bend Road, Corbin on Saturday afternoon June 13, 2015 at approximately 4:58 P.M.

The arrest occurred at Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County after Walmart's loss prevention team detained this subject.

When Sgt. Grimes arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation he learned this subject had allegedly been observed attempting to unlawfully removed $39.98 in items from the store.

In addition, this subject was wanted on outstanding warrants.

Timothy Lawson was charged with theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting and also charged on two Whitley County bench warrants of arrest regarding charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence and improper equipment.

Timothy Lawson was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
