Laurel County man arrested for assaulting wife and small infant - Clay County



Manchester, Ky. - MPD is reporting that on Wednesday June 17, 2015 Manchester Police Officers responded to a fight complaint on Bridge Street.

When officers arrived they talked to the female victim who had received several cuts and bruises from the incident.

The victim told police that Tony Henson had flipped a burning cigarette and hit a small child she was holding in her arms and then just started punching her in the face.

Upon arrival Tony Henson ran from the scene and hid on the heavily wooded river bank on Bridge Street until the police left but when he came out of hiding the officers were ready and after a brief foot chase Henson was taken into custody inside an apartment where he was attempting to hide.

The victim was taken to Manchester Memorial for treatment.

Tony Henson age 35 of MJB Drive, London, KY was arrested and charged with assault fourth degree and fleeing and evading police by Manchester Police Officers Logan Wolfe, Jimmy Smith, and Assistant Chief Patrick Robinson.

Henson was lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.
