(Richmond, KY) — The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post, is investigating a fatal collision that happened just before 1:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon on Union City Road in Madison County.
The initial investigation indicates that a 1999 Honda motorcycle, operated by Charles Arvin, 40 years old of Richmond, was traveling west on Union City Road. Arvin lost control of his motorcycle in a curve, causing him to cross the centerline and collide with a 2002 Dodge Durango, operated by James Hoover, 44 years old of Richmond.
Charles Arvin was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Madison County Coroner.
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by Trooper Darrel Hutchison. He was assisted at the scene by KSP Personnel, Madison County EMS, Madison County Fire & Rescue, and the Madison County Coroner.
