Intoxicated trespasser with a defaced firearm - Laurel County

Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Larry Parrott along with Deputy Rick Cloyd arrested Robert McHargue age 24 of White Oak Road, London on Sunday night July 5, 2015 at approximately 10:16 PM.

The arrest occurred off Hopper Creek Road, approximately 8 miles east of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint that a male subject was at a residence where he was not supposed to be and was under the influence acting wildly apparently under the influence of some type of drugs.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they located this subject in a rear bedroom and conducted an investigation determining that he was under the influence.

This subject admitted to smoking meth earlier and taking Suboxone and nuerotin. This subject also stated he knew that he was not to be at this home.

In addition, deputies found this subject in possession of a Hi-Point 9 MM pistol with an altered serial number.

Robert McHargue was charged with public intoxication – controlled substances; criminal trespassing – third-degree; and possession of a defaced firearm.

Robert McHargue was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
