Possible intoxicated driver complaint leads to subject with 5 outstanding warrants of arrest - Laurel County

Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Tommy Houston along with Deputy Brandon Broughton and Deputy Rick Cloyd arrested Jessica Day age 34 of Paris Karr Road, Keavy on Sunday night , July 5, 2015 at approximately 10:30 PM.

The arrest occurred after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of a possible intoxicated driver at a business on KY 770, approximately 10 miles south of London.

When deputies arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation, they learned that this subject had allegedly driven a gray colored Ford Mustang from her residence to the business.

Deputies also learned that this subject had apparently taken Neurontin and Suboxone earlier in the day. Deputies determined that this subject was under the influence.

In addition, deputies learned that this subject was wanted on 5 outstanding bench warrants of arrest.

Jessica Day was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – second offense; operating on suspended or revoked operators license; and numerous other traffic offenses.

In addition, this subject was charged on a Whitley County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court regarding charges of receiving stolen property and contempt of court, a second Whitley County bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court regarding a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court regarding a charge of theft by unlawful taking, a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court regarding a charge of public intoxication – controlled substances, and a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court on a charge of public intoxication – controlled substances.

Jessica Day was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
