Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Tommy Houston along with Deputy Brandon Broughton are investigating a vandalism which occurred at Mount Carmel Church located on KY 490 approximately 8 miles north of London on Saturday night July 4, 2015.
Apparently, unknown individual(s) spray-painted a cross and the wording Wyld Boys on the church sign located next to the road.
In addition, windows on the church building were also spray-painted and it appeared that an attempt was made to set the back-side of the church on fire. Heavy rain overnight apparently kept the vandals from burning the church building.
