Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Brandon Broughton along with Sgt. Robbie Grimes and Deputy Keith Dinsmore arrested Alan Cornett age 36 of highway 931 S., London on Saturday evening July 18, 2015 at approximately 7:09 PM.
The arrest occurred off Hawk Creek Road, approximately 5 miles west of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint at a grocery store that a male subject was there under the influence, and had allegedly been harassing a female employee there.
When deputies arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation they determined that the subject was under the influence – this subject stated that he drove to the store and was going to get something to eat.
While at the store he allegedly ordered a pizza from a female employee and when she turned around to put the pizza in the oven this subject allegedly stepped behind the counter touching her inappropriately.
Deputies reviewed store video showing the alleged inappropriate behavior.
Alan Cornett was charged with sexual abuse – third-degree; harassment – physical contact – no injury; disorderly conduct – second degree; operating a motor vehicle under the influence – second offense; and numerous other traffic violations.
This subject was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
