DUI and numerous other traffic offenses at crash in Laurel County

Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Sgt. Brett Reeves arrested Kyle Hart age 26 Rockhold, Ky early Thursday morning July 23, 2015 at approximately 1:18 AM.

The arrest occurred on West Cumberland Gap Pkwy., approximately 9 miles south London after Sgt. Reeves was dispatched to an injury traffic crash at the intersection of West Cumberland Gap Pkwy. and American Greeting Card road.

When Sgt. Reeves arrived at the scene he learned that a white colored Volkswagen Jetta had apparently rear-ended another vehicle that had been traveling west bound on Cumberland Gap Parkway.

The driver of the white Volkswagen appeared to be under the influence and following an investigation Sgt. Reeves determined that he was under the influence. Sgt. Reeves noted that the subject had a white powder around his nostrils. The subject stated he had snorted Xanax prior to operating the motor vehicle and also took Suboxone.

Kyle Hart was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence -2nd offense , and numerous other traffic offenses and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
