Bible school presentation by Laurel Sheriff’s Deputy Gilbert Acciardo

Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Laurel Sheriff’s Deputy Gilbert Acciardo visited the children of Lily Missionary Baptist Church on Thursday night.

This week is Vacation Bible School at the church, and church members hosting the event asked the Laurel County Sheriff's Office to visit their children to talk to them about their profession of helping serve their community.

Deputy Acciardo talked to the children about the sheriff's office, duties of deputies, and the dangers of drug abuse.

The visit concluded with the children getting a hands on look at a sheriff's deputy police car, and its equipment.

Sheriff Root commented that our children are the future of our county!
