Evacuation and Emergency Planning session, is being offered at four of EKU's regional campus locations at NO COST to anyone employed by local government, school districts, health departments, and other non-profit agencies.
This 1/2 day (4 hour) training course will provide detailed information to prepare participants to develop evacuation and emergency planning that focuses on OSHA requirements for emergency action plans and fire protection plans.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:
State the reasons for emergency action plans and fire
prevention plans and identify when they are required
for a workplace;
Provide elements of a good evacuation plan;
Describe features of design and maintenance of good
exit routes; and
Focus on assessment of risk for terrorist attacks and
how to utilize OSHA’s two matrices, evacuation
planning and fire/explosion, as tools in emergency
planning.
This session is structured for safety and
emergency personnel, building/facility
supervisors, first responders,
and others
interested in workplace safety.
