KSP Charges Logan Co. Man With Crimes Related to Child Sexual Exploitation

(Russellville, Ky.)— A Logan County man was arrested on charges related to child sexual exploitation Tuesday after Kentucky State Police served a search warrant at his home.

Allen C. Johnson, 43, is charged with 12 counts of distribution and 25 counts of possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. Each charge is a Class-D felony, punishable from one to five years in prison.

Johnson was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. Detectives with the KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after observing Johnson sharing images of child sexual exploitation online. This included images and video of prepubescent children engaged in sexual acts.

The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Johnson’s residence in Russellville on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 by the KSP Electronic Crime Branch. Officers from the Russellville Police Dept. assisted on scene. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s Forensic Laboratory for examination.

Johnson was lodged in the Logan County Detention Center.
