Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Sgt. Robbie Grimes along with Deputy Brandon Broughton are conducting a death investigation regarding a search that was conducted in southern Laurel County on Tuesday afternoon and evening for a hunter that was reported as missing.
The victim was found by a London Laurel Rescue Squad K-9 dog at approximately 6:41 PM. on Tuesday night August 25, 2015, and had fatal injuries apparently from an accidental fall
. Assisting on the earlier land search was Laurel County Department of Public Safety personnel and Laurel County Emergency Management personnel, along with London Laurel Rescue Squad and their K-9 dog.
Also assisting at the scene was the Laurel County Coroner's Office.
More information will be released after next of kin have been notified.
