Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Sgt. Larry Parrott along with Deputy Tommy Houston arrested Preston Messer age 34 of Robinson Creek Rd., Corbin on Sunday night August 30, 2015 at approximately 10:57 PM.
The arrest occurred off Robinson Creek Road, approximately 9 miles south of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint that a male subject was fighting with a female subject in a yard off Robinson Creek Road.
The caller also advised that the victim was running from the suspect and was screaming for help and that he observed the suspect grab the female victim and drag her back into the house through the front door.
When deputies arrived at the scene they could hear the female victim inside the house, but she would not answer deputies. Deputies made entry to the residence and found the male suspect hiding in the bathroom in the rear of the home.
An investigation was conducted and deputies observed that the female victim had a cut and swelling over her left eye and bruising from the alleged assault.
Preston Messer was charged with assault – fourth degree – domestic violence and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
