The Laurel County Sheriff's Office has released pictures of the recovered stolen mowers, pickup, drugs & money
Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Detective Kevin Berry along with Detective James Sizemore assisted by Deputy Travis Napier arrested two individuals on West Pine Hill Rd., approximately 7 miles west of London on Sunday night, August 30, 2015, at approximately 10:44 PM following a complaint received through Laurel 911 Dispatch regarding suspicious activity at the first trailer on the right on West Pine Hill Rd.
In addition, Sheriff's detectives also charged two additional persons in connection with the same investigation conducted by Sheriff's detectives regarding arrests made on West Pine Hill Road.
When Sheriff's detectives arrived at the mobile home on West Pine Hill Rd. and conducted an investigation, they found five riding lawnmowers behind the residence – one a John Deere zero turn which was confirmed as stolen.
In addition, Sheriff's detectives found a black Chevrolet pickup parked at the residence that had been reported stolen in Laurel County the night before.
Sheriff's detectives also found a subject at the residence in possession of an assortment of pills including oxycodone, hydrocodone, clonazepam, and Suboxone.
In addition, this subject had over $4000 cash in his possession.
Arrested at the residence was Shawn Roark age 29 of W. Pine Hill Rd., London charged with receiving stolen property under $500; receiving stolen property under $10,000; possession of burglary tools; and trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense.
Also arrested on W. Pine Hill Rd. was Josh Roark age 19 of W. Pine Hill Rd., London charged with receiving stolen property under $500; receiving stolen property under $10,000; possession of burglary tools; a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court regarding a charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence and numerous traffic offenses. Sheriff detectives observed this subject drive and park at the location where they were recovering stolen property.
Sheriff's detectives also charged Adam Roark age 50 of W. Pine Hill Rd., London – charged with receiving stolen property under $500; receiving stolen property under $10,000; and possession of burglary tools.
Also charged was Daniel Roark age 34 of W. Pine Hill Rd., London charged with receiving stolen property under $500; receiving stolen property under $10,000; and possession of burglary tools.
These 2 subjects were arrested by London City Officers who were conducting a parallel and related investigation.
Total value of recovered stolen property thus far is over $30,000. An investigation is continuing regarding additional lawnmowers found at the scene.
All arrested individuals stated they knew nothing about any of the stolen items found in their possession.
All arrested subjects were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
