Complaint of suspected DUI on I-75 in Laurel County

Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Rick Cloyd along with KSP/KVE Officer Rob Mitchell and Officer Mike Hamblin arrested three individuals off Ky 770, approximately 10 miles south of London after receiving a complaint of a suspected DUI headed southbound on I-75 from London.

Both agencies working together located the vehicle, and a traffic stop was conducted off KY 770.

The driver Donald Allen age 49 Of East Hwy. 30, Tyner was arrested by KVE Ofc. Rob Mitchell and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence, prescription controlled substances not in proper container, and possession of a controlled substance third degree.

A female passenger passed out in the vehicle was arrested by Deputy Rick Cloyd and was identified as Christian Tayler age 29 of Whitney Court, London charged with public intoxication – controlled substances.

Another passenger, William Steele Jr age 32 of Hwy. 421 N. Apartments, McKee who fled the scene was arrested by KVE Ofc. Mike Hamblin and charged with public intoxication – controlled substances and disorderly conduct – second-degree.

All three individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
