Injury Collision In Harlan County

(Wallins, Ky.) On September 5, 2015 at 03:40 a.m Kentucky State Police received an E911 call of a vehicle accident with injuries on U.S. 119 at Wallins.

Stephanie Vaughn, 45, was traveling north on U.S. 119 when she lost control of her 1998 Ford Explorer and struck the embankment. Miss Vaughn was trapped inside the vehicle and was removed by members of the Harlan County Rescue Sqaud and Johnsons Lifecare.

Miss Vaughn was transported to Harlan ARH for multiple injuries by Johnsons Lifecare and was later flown to Holston Valley Medical Center. This investigation is being conducted by Tpr. Rodney Sturgill, Assisted by Sgt. Jay Perkins, Johnson Lifecare, Harlan County Rescue Squad, and Wallins Fire Dept.
