Injury Accident - Laurel Co

(London, KY) On Wednesday September 9th 2015 around 05:00 AM officer Rob Mitchell with KSP-Vehicle Enforcement responded to an injury accident located on I-75 at the entrance to the northbound weigh station in Laurel County Kentucky.

Upon arrival and through investigation Mitchell determined that 26 year old Ali Diss of Fortworth Texas was operating a 2007 Peterbilt tractor trailer near the entrance to the weigh station when he was rear ended by a maroon 2002 Chevy Tahoe operated by 34 year old Frank Manning of Corbin Kentucky.

Frank Manning the operator of the SUV was air lifted from the scene to the University of Kentucky Medical Center with a possible compound fracture. Diss the operator of the tractor trailer was not injured. Drug and alcohol are not suspected factors in this crash and both parties were wearing their seat belts.

Assisting on scene: Laurel Co Sheriff’s Office, Laurel Co Fire Department, Laurel Co Rescue Squad, Ambulance Inc., and PHI Air Ambulance. Officer Mitchell continues the investigation.
