Female victim found drowned in a pond off Boggs Lane in Laurel County

Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Detective Kevin Berry along with the Sgt. Brett Reeves , Deputy John Inman, Capt Chuck Johnson, Lt. Greg Poynter and Deputy Shawn Boroviak are conducting a death investigation regarding the discovery of a female victim found drowned in a pond off Boggs Lane, just west of the city limits of London on Monday morning Sept. 21, 2015 at approx. 9:26 A.M.

The victim was identified as Betty Siler age 75 of Boggs Lane, London. She lived nearby. She was found by a an employee of a nearby business who notified 911.

The victim was pronounced deceased by staff of the Laurel County coroner's office. It is believed that the cause of death is accidental drowning, and no foul play is suspected.

Assisting at the scene was London Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County.
