Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Kyle Gray arrested Vicie Carter Estep age 42 of East Campground Rd., London on Saturday afternoon September 19, 2015 at approximately 4:55 PM.
The arrest occurred at Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County after Walmart's loss prevention team detained this subject.
When Deputy Gray arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation he learned that this subject had allegedly been observed concealing store merchandise on her person. Value of the theft totaled over $150.
In addition, it was learned that this subject had previously been charged with shoplifting at Walmart in London. This subject was also found in possession of a syringe. Also this subject was determined to be under the influence.
Vicie Carter/Estep was charged with theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting; public intoxication – controlled substances; criminal trespassing – second degree; and possession of drug paraphernalia and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
