Complaint in Knox County results in DUI arrest and a multitude of other charges



Knox County, KY -  Sheriff Mike Smith is reporting that on September 22, 2015 Deputy Keith Liford responded to a complaint at the J&G Market in Gray, KY. The caller advised there was a man in the parking lot who had been seen inside his vehicle.

When Deputy Liford arrived he observed the man searching inside the vehicle. Through his investigation, Deputy Liford determined the man was under the influence of drugs and had in his possession two plastic bags containing a quantity of suspected Crystal Methamphetamine, Suboxone strips and drug paraphernalia.

Deputy Liford arrested Robert Mills age 49 of Barbourville, KY. charging him with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence, Driving on DUI Suspended License 3rd Offense, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Degree, Prescription Controlled Substance not in Original Container, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Robert Mills was also wanted on a Knox County Bench warrant for failure to appear on Driving on Suspended License and six other traffic related charges.

Robert Mills was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

Constable Reed Murphy assisted at the scene.
