Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Charlie Johnson arrested Andrew Britt age 21 of Elyria , Ohio early Friday morning September 25, 2015 at approximately 12:05 AM.
The arrest occurred at Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County after Walmart's loss prevention team detained this subject.
When Deputy Johnson arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation he learned that this subject had allegedly been observed selecting items in the electronics section and cutting the security cords off the items, and also selecting items in the men's department and removing the tags, concealing the items and attempted to leave the store without paying for the items.
Andrew Britt was charged with theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting and alcohol intoxication in a public place and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
