Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Tommy Houston along with Deputy Andrew Lawson and Constable Bobby Joe Smith arrested Danny Lawson, age 47, of Locust Grove Rd., London, early Sunday morning, September 27, 2015, at approximately 2:01 AM.
The arrest occurred off of Locust Grove Road, approximately 10 miles south of London after deputies were called to a domestic violence complaint.
Upon arrival they learned that father and son got into a verbal argument. The two parties agreed to go to separate locations for the night and avoid further contact with one another.
However, after deputies left, approximately 5 minutes later, they were called back to the location where the subjects now were allegedly engaged in a fist fight.
As deputies pulled into the driveway, this subject attempted to flee from officers on foot and when deputies caught up to the subject, he began to fight with deputies and a constable.
This subject continued to fight and curse deputies creating a disturbance in the area even as he was being escorted to the police cruiser.
Danny Lawson was charged with assault 4th degree – domestic violence; menacing; disorderly conduct – second degree; fleeing or evading police – second degree – on foot; and alcohol intoxication and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
