Laurel County man charged with Assault after allegedly stabbing girlfriend

Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Shawn Boroviak along with Deputy John Inman assisted by Bailiff Jack Caudill and Bailiff Brad Mink arrested Scotty Abrams age 38 of Burnett Rd., London on Friday morning October 2, 2015 at approximately 10:55 AM.

The arrest occurred off Burnett Road approximately 7 miles south of London after deputies were dispatched to a domestic dispute there.

When deputies arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation they learned that a female victim had allegedly been stabbed by her boyfriend three times with a knife. Deputies determined that the victim had three puncture wounds-- one in the hand, one in the left forearm, and one in the upper left arm.

The victim was transported by Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County to London St. Joseph Hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Scotty Abrams was charged with assault - second-degree - domestic violence and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
