CAPTURED - Subjects on ATV flee police in Clay County

Manchester, KY - MPD is reporting that on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at approximately 10:56 P.M., Manchester Police Officer Jeff Senters observed an ATV traveling south on Richmond Road.

Officer Senters attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the ATV which made a left turn onto Memorial Drive and continued on entering the Rawlings and Stinson Park and Nature Trail.

Officer Senters then advised MPD Sgt. Jeff Collett and Officer Jeremy Garrison to attempt to stop the ATV on the south end of the trail.

Officers were able to block off the trail and stop the vehicle at which time two subjects were placed into custody without further incident.

Arrested was:

The driver, James Gilliam age 20 of Manchester was charged with Fleeing or Evading Police 2nd degree (motor vehicle) and Operating ATV on Roadway.

The passenger, Jessie Hunter age 19 of Manchester was charged with Fleeing or Evading Police 2nd degree (motor vehicle).

Both subjects were lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.
