(LONDON, KY.) – Kentucky State Police Post 11, London received a report of a single vehicle traffic crash with a fatality on Friday, October 09, 2015 at approximately 4:30 AM.
The crash occurred at the intersection of US HWY 27 and KY HWY 92 in the Pine Knot community of McCreary County.
Upon arrival, Trooper Edward Jones determined that a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado operated by Jeremy D. Collins, 25, of Strunk, KY was traveling westbound on KY 92 when he crossed the intersection of US HWY 27 at a high rate of speed, continuing across the southbound shoulder where the vehicle then struck several trees before overturning multiple times.
Collins, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene by the McCreary County Coroner’s Office.
