Criminal Mischief arrest in Laurel County



Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Rick Cloyd along with Sgt. Robbie Grimes and Deputy Brandon Broughton arrested Raymond Smith age 55 of South Hwy. 1223, Corbin on Thursday evening October 15, 2015 at approximately 6:30 PM while responding to a domestic violence complaint.

The arrest occurred off KY 1223, approximately 11 miles south of London after this subject was charged on a Laurel County warrant of arrest charging criminal mischief – first-degree. - Allegedly this subject busted all the windows out of the victims 1979 Camaro causing in excess of $1400 damage.

In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest charging two counts of criminal mischief second-degree; two counts of terroristic threatening third-degree; and two counts of wanton endangerment second-degree.

Also after being arrested and while being searched at the jail this subject was found to be in possession of Clonazepam. This subject was charged with prescription controlled substances not in proper container second offense.

Raymond Smith was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
