Update (Additional Charges Filed) - KSP Investigates Officer Involved Shooting in Madison County



(Richmond, KY) — The Kentucky State Police have filed additional charged against the alleged shooter that took the life of Richmond Police Officer Daniel Ellis.

Raleigh Sizemore, 34 years old of Richmond, is now charged with Murder of a Police Officer, two counts of Attempted Murder of a Police Officer, Unlawful Imprisonment 1st Degree, and Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon.

Sizemore is being held in LaGrange at the Kentucky State Reformatory. The new charges are the result of the ongoing investigation, which alleges that after Raleigh Sizemore shot Officer Daniel Ellis, he shot at two other RPD Officers that were on the scene.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post.
