Injury Traffic Crash/Rockcastle County

LONDON, KY. – Kentucky State Police SGT Tony Dingess is investigating an injury collision involving a Kentucky State Trooper that occurred on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at approximately 1:15 AM on US HWY 150 in the Brodhead community of Rockcastle County.

The investigation has determined that Trooper Adam Hensley was traveling eastbound on US HWY 150 when a horse ran out into the roadway in front of Trooper Hensley. Trooper Hensley struck the horse with the front end of his patrol car. The collision caused injuries to Trooper Hensley and severe damage to his patrol car.

Trooper Hensley was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center for treatment of non-life- threatening injuries.

SGT Tony Dingess continues the investigation and was assisted at the scene by Troopers from Post 11, Kentucky State Police Vehicle Enforcement Officers, Rockcastle County EMS and the Brodhead Fire Department.
